D-Node teamed up with the North Texas Blockchain Alliance (NTBA) to create an interactive Mining Symposium. The event took place on Saturday, February 10th at the Treehouse in Addison, Texas.

Sixty attendees gathered to meet other crypto miners and to enjoy the first-known historical exhibit of mining equipment in the DFW area.   The display included an original Bitmain S1 Antminer (released on November 21, 2013) along with its replacements the S2-S5. Next in line were the Butterfly Lab Bitcoin miners.

Then came the GPU specimens including a 2-card miner with a milk crate, case, a monster open-air 13-GPU rig, and a commercial grade demo of M&A Technology’s Manda Miner.

In addition to the exhibit, attendees enjoyed three presentations. Anthony Ronning covered the fundamentals of mining and basic terminology. Next, Bill Weber shared his vast knowledge of optimization techniques. The crowd then had a special Q&A session with Fred Constantinesco, which was thoroughly enjoyed.
